Protecting our communities through shared information and communications

The Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC) is a government program that helps safeguard the community by serving as a dynamic security nexus.  To detect, prevent, investigate and respond to criminal and terrorist activity, we disseminate intelligence and facilitate communications between Federal, State and local agencies and private sector critical infrastructure partners to help them take action on threats and public safety issues.

Message from Past Director, Ron Brooks

Training those who serve

Both NCRIC and NC HIDTA provide intensive multi-disciplinary training to private and public safety professionals, with exercises to strengthen counter-terrorism readiness.

Indicators of Terrorist Threats

The Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC), working in conjunction with other California Fusion Centers that are part of the State Threat Assessment System (STAS), have produced a briefing / training video for first responders on the "Pre-incident Indicators of Terrorism."  Copies of this video are available to NCRIC member agencies through the NCRIC's Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO) Program.  Please contact your NCRIC Regional TLO representative for further information. Law Enforcement members can also watch this video in its entirety by logging in to the NCRIC's Law Enforcement Home Page.

The staff at the NCRIC would like to recognize and thank the California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) for providing the grant funding which supported the production of this video.

Critical Infrastructure Protection

The NCRIC's Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) capability enables public and private entities to identify, assess, prioritize, and protect critical infrastructure and key resources so they can detect, prevent, deter, devalue, and mitigate deliberate efforts to destroy, incapacitate, or exploit critical infrastructure and key resources.
