Course Description: The purpose of this course is to teach first responders and public safety professionals to recognize the pre-incident indicators, tactics, ideologies, and the dangers posed by Jihadist terrorist groups; the Radical Right, including Sovereign Citizens and militias; the Radical Left, including Antifa and other violent groups, and the Mexican Drug Cartels – the most prominent violent extremist groups that operate and reside in America today. The students will be taught how these violent extremist groups radicalize and direct Homegrown Violent Extremists. This course focuses on the correlation, merging of tactics and ideologies, and in some cases the direct cooperation between these violent extremist groups.

            The Following Topics will be Covered:         

• Course teaches the emerging threats facing law enforcement and all first responders from members of the Radical Right, the Radical Left, Jihadist groups, and Mexican Drug Cartels.

• The students will be taught the motivations, tactics, relationships, and shared ideologies of these groups.

• Introduce students to the emerging threats posed by the Radical Left, the Radical Right, and other violent anti-government groups.

• Detailed discussion of how current social and political conditions are being used to recruit, radicalize and incite violence.

• Provide the investigators with the resources available to counter these threats.
