This training will describe how a comprehensive threat assessment program can help to prevent mass shootings, school shootings, workplace violence, and other forms of targeted violence that impact communities across the United States. All content is based on the operational research conducted by the Secret Service’s National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC). The presentation will demonstrate how the methodology used by the Secret Service can be adapted to prevent violence in the community, by proactively identifying, assessing, and managing individuals exhibiting concerning or threatening behavior.
This is NOT training on active shooter response.
